Angel S. Aviles was born and raised in the shadows of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, where an early talent for drawing outgrew every sheet of paper in the house. His parents gave him a wall to fill — and when it filled, he painted over it and started all over again.

Angel has been a Professional Artist for over 30 years. He attended Brooklyn Technical High School with a concentration in Architecture and went on to confirm an Associates Degree in Graphic Design at Sullivan County Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Drawing at SUNY New Paltz. In 2018 he participated on his first set for Topps Star Wars Masterwork and has gone on to become one of the most recognized Sketch Card Artists in the industry. His list of Sketch Card credits include Marvel, DC, MLB Museum Collection, MLB Gallery, Stranger Things, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lord of The Rings, and Star Wars. In October of 2025 he became the exclusive Artist for the Topps NBA Living Set after two years drawing for the Topps MLB Living Set.

We are all Artists. We are all capable of creating something special. The better you see the better you will draw. Look at
everything. Absorb each and every moment. Understand why the shadows play as they do. Why a color may modulate and trick the eye. Remember that drawing is an illusion. Just keep looking, trust your instincts, and allow your hands to see what your eyes can see.

Stay Awesome. Make Art.
